Spurs have endured a terrible season domestically and sit 16th in the Premier League table, having lost 19 of their 34 games thus far. Postecoglou's future appears to be tied to the Europa League, as they face Bodo/Glimt in the semi-finals of the Europa League, but Maddison insists he remains fully behind the Australian.

Maddison insists the club can still have a "very successful season" as they eye glory in Bilbao in the Europa League. He accepts, however, that Spurs have underperformed terribly in the league. Indeed, Spurs have been linked with the likes of Marco Silva at Fulham and Andoni Iraola at Bournemouth.

WHAT MADDISON SAID

Maddison told reporters: "We're behind the manager, 100 per cent. I think he's a great man. He's the first person to tell you, I've heard it myself, that we've been poor in the league. We've been great in Europe but it's been unacceptable in the league. He's my manager, my gaffer and I respect him. We can still have a very successful season."
