Every boss in Borderlands 4 has a unique set of legendary weapons they can drop, and that includes story bosses like Driller Hole. You’ll encounter this boss battle roughly halfway through the main story of Borderlands 4, and there are quite a few reasons to give him another visit later on.
You can farm bosses easier than ever before in Borderlands 4 with the addition of Moxxi’s Big Encore, which lets you instantly respawn a boss for a small fee. Driller Hole is one of the easiest bosses in the entire game to farm for this reason. You can take him down in a few seconds with the right build and start another rematch before all the loot has hit the ground. Here’s what you can get from Driller Hole in Borderlands 4.
Borderlands 4 Driller Hole Boss Location
You can find Driller Hole at the bottom of Queen’s Cradle in the Tonnage Peel region of Carcadia Burn in Borderlands 4. To unlock this boss fight, you have to progress through the Carcadia Burn storyline until you complete the Unpaid Tab main quest. This quest leads you straight to Driller Hole, and you can return for a rematch any time after that.
Driller Hole is a popular farming target because of how easy he is to take down. He has two health bars — one yellow and one red — so a corrosive and fire loadout will make quick work of him. He’s slow, has a huge crit spot, and summons weak enemies that can be used to revive yourself in case you go down. Plus, the Moxxi’s Big Encore machine is super close to the arena.
Driller Hole Legendary Drops
Driller Hole has three dedicated legendary drops in Borderlands 4.
|
Legendary |
Description |
|---|---|
|
Fuse Grenade |
Fortified Position: Deals persistent AOE damage where the grenade lands. |
|
Katagawa’s Revenge Sniper Rifle |
Stormcloud: Launches fireballs or shock orbs depending on the current elemental mode. |
|
G.M.R. Assault Rifle |
Big Name Hunter: When zoomed in, damage increases by +100%, shot cost increases by +100%, and fire rate decreases by -50%. |
Driller Hole’s dedicated legendary drops are excellent for a variety of builds, so you’ll walk away happy no matter what you get. G.M.R. is one of the strongest assault rifles in the game, firing slow, high-damage bullets when you aim down sights. Katagawa’s Revenge is also an excellent elemental sniper, capable of launching both fire and shock orbs.
The Fuse grenade is a fantastic Ordinance and one of Driller Hole’s best drops as well. When you toss the grenade, it’ll start bouncing and spewing bullets and bombs wherever it lands. It can roll with elemental damage as well, making it perfect for melting shields and armor. It’s easily one of the best Ordinances in Borderlands 4.
