There are 61 Altars of Reflection in Ghost of Yotei, and these are essential collectibles that players will want to seek out and find. Altars of Reflection provide players with a skill point to learn new techniques for Atsu’s abilities, thus making them imperative to her journey across Ezo. Since there are a whopping 61 Altars of Reflection to pay your respects to, we’ve listed where to find them all based on the region they are in to make the hunt that much easier for you.
You only need to find 30 Altars of Reflection to unlock the Moments of Reflection Trophy.
All Yotei Grasslands Altars of Reflection in Ghost of Yotei
Altar of Reflection #1
This Altar is found to the northwest of the Southern Coast, where you will need to cut through a bamboo wall blocking your path ahead, and then climb further down the cliff.
Altar of Reflection #2
This Altar can be acquired after players beat the Saito Compound Yotei Six Camp, south of Shirahige Falls.
Altar of Reflection #3
This Altar can be found behind the waterfall in Shirahige Falls, so simply swim through it to find the hidden cave.
Altar of Reflection #4
Along where the Sarubetsu River splits into two, you’ll find a hill with a hole that can be climbed down to find an Altar of Reflection.
Altar of Reflection #5
Follow the lost monk found at the Lost Monk’s Camp, a short journey east of the Yotei’s Shadow Inn, and you’ll eventually find this altar during the Side Tale.
Altar of Reflection #6
Follow the Sarubetsu River northeast until you reach the Maw of the Serpent. South of this location on the map is a hill with a golden tree, and an Altar on top of it.
Altar of Reflection #7
This Altar becomes available after you beat the Saito Recruitment Yotei Six Camp, north of the Nupur River.
Altar of Reflection #8
Climb through the Twisted Tree, found northwest of Serpent’s Pass, and on top and behind the cave will be an Altar.
Altar of Reflection #9
Found in the northeast area of Jade Grave within The Blue-Flowered Cemetery.
Altar of Reflection #10
Found in the eastern area of the Yotei River, where you must cut through a bamboo wall to reach the Altar.
Altar of Reflection #11
Head north towards the Golden Foothills, where, directly east of Lake Jozan, you’ll find the Stone Spire Hideout. Climb the hill, and at the top, play your shamisen, and an NPC will kick down a ladder for you to climb up to find this Altar. Here’s a video to make finding this particular Shrine easier:
Altar of Reflection #12
This Altar is obtained after completing the Outcrop Homestead Yotei Six Camp, north of the Yotei River.
Altar of Reflection #13
West of the Yotei River is the Mount Yotei Shrine Path. Players must then climb Mount Yotei, where at the middle of the crater, once they reach the top, will be the Altar.
All Ishikari Plain Altars of Reflection in Ghost of Yotei
Altar of Reflection #14
This Altar can be obtained once players beat the Nishin Fishery Yotei Six Camp just west of Otaru Hills.
Altar of Reflection #15
North of Otaru Hills is a cliff adorned with little rock statues that you can climb down to find the Altar.
Altar of Reflection #16
North of Otaru Beach and across the shoreline to the west, players will find a rock wall that they can climb across the rocks that leads them to an Altar.
Altar of Reflection #17
Beat the Broken Horn Garrison Yotei Six Camp, east of Howling Cove.
Altar of Reflection #18
Follow up the Ishikari River, where directly west of the first “I” in “Ishikari Fork”, is a hill that you can ride up to in order to find this Altar.
Altar of Reflection #19
Complete the Bold Kaji Forge Yotei Six Camp, northwest of Horokanai Bluffs.
Altar of Reflection #20
In the south area of Nakogoya Spring, near the Bold Kaji Forge, is a cliff path that can be followed around to find a hanging branch, which you can use to swing with your grapple hook.
Altar of Reflection #21
Complete the Higashi Lumberyard Yotei Six Camp, found to the west of Urara Forest.
Altar of Reflection #22
Found in the northeast of the Urara Forest, where you must climb up the rock path to the left of the little rock statues.
Altar of Reflection #23
Complete the Conquer Masked Man’s Quarry Yotei Six Camp, found in the north area of Nakagoya Spring.
Altar of Reflection #24
Found on a cliff above the “W” in “White Deer Woodlands”, which can be reached via swinging off a nearby branch with your grapple hook.
Altar of Reflection #25
Found on a hill within the Ruined Dojo, underneath the “R” in White Deer Woodlands.
Altar of Reflection #26
Found to the west of Yokai’s Nest, where, upon sticking to the cliffside on the left, you’ll find a grapple point on the wall to climb across.
All Tokachi Range Altars of Reflection in Ghost of Yotei
Altar of Reflection #27
In the Ishiusu Basin region, head to the southwest to locate Bamboo Rock. Cut through the bamboo that blocks the cave entrance, and defeat the bear inside for the Altar.
Altar of Reflection #28
Head west of Yubari Lake and you’ll find an Altar of Reflection by the Monument Tree.
Altar of Reflection #29
Directly north of the Huranui’s Rest Inn, you’ll find the Huranui Mill by the Huranui Cliffs. Clear this Yotei Six Camp out for the Altar.
Altar of Reflection #30
Follow upstream (north) of the Niikappu River just before the Twin Ponds of Hidaka. This Altar is beside a tree running through the lake, with a ronin stationed beside it.
Altar of Reflection #31
North of the Tomamu Marshlands, players will find the Marshal Homestead. Complete this Yotei Six Camp to get the Altar.
Altar of Reflection #32
North of the Tomamu Marshlands is a mountain wall that players can squeeze through, where they can then climb up to find an Altar.
Altar of Reflection #33
Head north of the Niikappu River to the Saru Plains. Just above the “S” in “Plains” on the map, you’ll find a cave wall you can squeeze through, and then another, to find the Altar.
All Nayoro Wilds Altars of Reflection in Ghost of Yotei

In the south part of the Nayoro Wilds, you can turn to find a hill you can climb that has an Altar of Reflection.
Altar of Reflection #35
In the west area of the Nayoro Wilds region, you can find a cliff that you can climb with your grapple hook to reach the top to find the Altar.

Head east of Iwor Woods, between the Iwor Woods and Kankan Creek, you’ll find the Altar of Reflection at a waterfall.

On the mountain just to the south of the Red Crane Inn is this Altar of Reflection.
Altar of Reflection #38
South of the Crimson Forest is the Crossroads Trading Post, which needs to be cleared of enemies to access the Alter of Reflection.
Altar of Reflection #39
There’s a Closed-Off Building above the “M” in “Crimson Forest”. The Altar is inside, and the solution is to simply light the two lanterns on the left.
Altar of Reflection #40
Found within the Snow Drift Springs Hideout, to the west of Crimson Forest. The solution to the puzzle can be found here.
Altar of Reflection #41
Head northwest of the Crimson Forest, where, in the open against the coast overlooking the sea, is this Altar.
Altar of Reflection #42
Inside a Closed-Off Building found just north of the Black Dye Merchant and south of Sarobetsu Forest. Accessed by interacting with the fox statue found in a hole just behind the pillar to the right that is marked with an up arrow.
Altar of Reflection #43
Found at the end of the Snow’s Blight Hideout, which is accessed via the puzzle in the Snow’s Blight Shrine (solution found here). This area is to the north of Teshio Coast.
Altar of Reflection #44
North of the Sarobetsu Forest, above the “F” in “Forest” on the map, you will find a snow pit that you can walk onto until it breaks. Falling in provides you with the Altar.
Altar of Reflection #45
Northwest of Sarobetsu Lake is the Nakajima Ice Cave. Solving the puzzle here unlocks the Nakajima Ice Cave Hideout, and the Yotei Six Camp holds the Altar that players seek. The puzzle solution is found here at Puzzle Box #8.

Found after defeating the enemies at the Deserted Village Yotei Six Camp.
Altar of Reflection #47
Head north of the Hakodake Mountains, where, above the “O” in “Mountains”, you’ll find a large cliff. Follow around this rocky wall to find the climbing spot, and continue climbing to access the Shrine.
Altar of Reflection #48
South of the Sentinel Forest, below the “E” on the map, is a bamboo area where you can enter to find a Closed-Off Building. To the left of the building, and then a left again, is a fox statue you can take to the front door to spin to access the interior, which is another Altar.

Head east of the Shipwreck Shoal towards the cliff, where you’ll find this Altar.
Altar of Reflection #50
Found in Sanctuary Grove, accessed via the Sarufutsu Lighthouse puzzle, which can be found to the northeast of Sentinel Forest.
Altar of Reflection #51
Look to the coast at Shipwreck Shoal to find a Closed-Off Building. The Altar is inside, but to access the bridge across, you need to spin the two fox statues so they face each other, and then spin the next fox statues away from each other.
Altar of Reflection #52
Obtained after defeating the enemies at the Soya Port Yotei Six Camp, which is north of the Shipwreck Shoal.
Altar of Reflection #53
Found after clearing Cape Inari Hideout of enemies. This Yotei Six Camp is located north of the Sarufutsu River, and the puzzle solution to enter is found here at Puzzle Box #12.

Defeat all enemies at the Miyama Village Yotei Six Camp, located east of Tokuyama Hills.
Altar of Reflection #55
South of Tokuyama Hills, by the “S” in “Hills”, is a lake that players can swim to to find this Altar inside a rock structure.
Altar of Reflection #56
Available to players after beating the Saito Artillery Camp, a Yotei Six Camp in the north area of Shojin Hills.
Altar of Reflection #57
Found just outside, to the east of Castle Matsumae, in a temple before the Oyobe River.
Altar of Reflection #58
Beat the Kasuga Village Yotei Six Camp, east of Hakodake Shore.
Altar of Reflection #59
On the Karatsu River is the Iwasaki Farmstead Yotei Six Camp, which grants an Altar upon completion.
Altar of Reflection #60
South of the Karatsu River is the Oiso Fishing Village, just on the shore, which is a Yotei Six Camp that rewards an Altar upon completion.

Follow along the beach to the left of the Forgotten Shrine, which is at the very southwest part of Oshima Coast, and then climb the wall to reach the Altar.
