Now the latest report by Gianluca Di Marzio suggests that the 22-year-old may reunite with former United team-mate Sanchez in France as the Chilean could return to Marseille. The former Arsenal and Barcelona star is currently a free agent and could re-sign for his former team whom he left for Inter last summer.

DID YOU KNOW?

Greenwood had a fallout with Sanchez five years back when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was in charge of the club. In August 2019, Sanchez had just returned from Copa America and was recovering from an injury. During a training session in Carrington, the then 30-year-old was fouled by a 17-year-old Greenwood which reportedly led to a bust-up between the two players.

The winger could face hostility from a section of Marseille fans who have already launched a campaign against his signing. However, newly appointed manager Roberto De Zerbi has vowed to protect the player if he moves to the club.
